Servers

Servers at The Halford are responsible for ensuring our guests have a memorable experience and become regulars, telling all of their friends, family & co-workers about us.
Our servers must always be courteous, smiling and be willing to multi-task.
Servers are required to practice responsible alcohol service in accordance with state and local laws.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensures that our guests have the best possible experience while at The Halford
Ability to work large parties and events, take orders and deliver food and drinks under pressure
Must possess excellent knowledge of current menu and seasonal offerings. Servers are responsible for explaining all menu offerings and promotional offerings to our Guests, and will clearly answer all guest questions
Confirms and accurately notates Guest orders, quickly enters orders into the POS system, utilizing understandable words, appropriate abbreviations and charges
Quickly retrieves orders from the bar or kitchen and delivers to appropriate Guest promptly with the assistance of a food runner when scheduled
Practices responsible alcohol service in accordance to local and state laws, including identification verification and intoxication prevention.
Must possess a positive “can do” attitude, offering assistance to team members when necessary
Is intuitive of business flow to ensure guest and staff satisfaction. Makes themselves available to assist during downtimes
Keeps server station clean, sets up and takes down station appropriately
Performs shift change and/or opening or closing duties
Adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to operate POS, make change and accurately conduct credit card transactions and account for all monies at the end of each shift
Able to stand/walks for 100% of shift
Able to reach, bend, stoop, and wipe frequently
Able to deliver plates, food and clear tables which may require lifting
Ability to read and write English
Ability to verbalize and clearly respond to Guests
Ability to read and write handwritten notes

Line Cooks

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate is extremely reliable, meticulously detail-oriented, and proficient with all basic cooking techniques, ie. basic knife skills, simples sauces etc.
  • Experience with butchery and sausage making is not required but preferred
  • 2 years of experience working in a fast paced kitchen
  • Experience in food and labor cost control
  • California or equivalent Food Handlers Certification
  • Professional, enthusiastic, responsible, and dependable team player
  • Self-motivated takes initiative and willing to acquire new skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • You must show up to work on time and ready to work
  • BBQ experience a plus

Compensation:

  • Competitive Hourly rate
  • The rate will depend on experience
